Dear Parents,

My name is Anparasan Sivakumaran, also known as Anpu, and I'm the founder of Champions Tuition. I studied at Wilson's School which provided me with a first-hand experience of the 11+ process. It was an incredibly tough process because there is a lot of pressure at such a tender age. Having said that, the whole experience set me on a different path in life. After studying at Wilson's, I went on to graduate from UCL with a 1st class honours (Geography BA).

Champions Tuition has a special place in my heart; I pour love and dedication into my work as a tutor. I think this is what sets Champions Tuition apart from other tuition centres. Building a strong rapport with both students and parents is very important to me and I've formed some life long friendships along the way. Teaching is a passion of mine because it is extremely rewarding helping students develop academically.

My very first student, many years ago, was a young girl for whom English was her second language. When she moved to the UK, she wasn't performing very well at school. Using our shared mother tongue, Tamil, I taught her for 6 years. She rapidly started achieving the best results in her class. It was from this point onwards that I decided to teach more students. I also saw how some gifted children weren't being challenged enough at school. I resonated with this a lot because when I was a child, I felt that I wasn't pushed enough. I founded Champions Tuition to provide the best KS2 teaching that children would learn to love and cherish. After a few months of students attending lessons with me, my students often moan, "Sir! School is sooo boring now. It's too easy! I can't believe we're still only learning about times tables when you've already taught me about probability and fractions." ... or something to that effect! It makes me laugh every time. Every child is capable of being challenged if they are supported in the correct way. It is also true that a solid foundation must be built during the early half of KS2 so that the child can confidently tackle harder worded problems when they reach Year 5 and Year 6.

If you're looking for a place where your child will be supported, challenged and encouraged, then look no further. Your child does not have to be the best in their class to be a good fit at Champions Tuition. They just have to be courteous and well-mannered which is the best starting point.

I look forward to meeting you soon.
